AILA Mid South Conference: FAQs

Location

We will be holding this event in person and online. The in-person events will be held at the Beau Rivage in Biloxi, Mississippi. All attendees will receive login information from our technology provider, CommPartners. If you do not receive this by October 1st, please email Brittany Faith at bfaith@gkhpc.com.

How do I log in?

Login at the top right of this page using the email you registered with for the conference. Your password is AILAMS21

What web browser should I be using to access the event?

To easily access the sessions, please make sure you are using an updated version of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Edge or Safari. You will not be able to access if you are using Internet Explorer.

I'm having trouble accessing sessions, what can I do?

This conference will use the Zoom Webinar platform. You must access the webinar with a browser that supports HTML5. We recommend using the latest versions of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Edge or Safari. To confirm that you are ready to participate, please test your browser before joining the webinar, or review the more detailed Troubleshooting Guide.

How do I access the sessions?

You will need to login to your account in order attend the event. The conference platform does not support Internet Explorer, please make sure you are using a different browser.

You can access any of the sessions by clicking on the “Agenda” at the top and then selecting which track. From there, click on any session title and more information will expand on the page for you, including the “Watch Webinar Here” button. You will be able to access sessions 5 minutes in advance of the start time.

Please note that the sessions will open in Zoom.

Will there be live Q&A during the sessions?

Yes, you will have the opportunity to submit questions via the Zoom Q&A feature during the sessions.

How will we submit CLE at the end of the conference?

You will login into your profile and submit a survey which should include a code word for each session and a number for each session. Those will be given in the Zoom chat for those attending virtually and in person for those attending at the Beau Rivage.

What COVID safety protocols are there?

All attendees will be required to wear masks at all times except for when they are eating or drinking. We strongly encourage all attendees to space out in the event rooms. There should be plenty of space to have allotted one or two seats between each spot. Additionally, all attendees will be required to either show their vaccination card or provide a negative PCR test at registration.

What meals will be provided?

For the in-person registrants, we will be providing breakfast on both October 1st and October 2nd. We will provide lunch on October 1st which will also be the chapter meeting. We also will be providing heavy hors d’oeuvres at the reception at the Beau Rivage at 6:00 p.m. on Friday evening. As sessions end at noon on Saturday, we will not be providing lunch that day.
